Privacy Policy
How Skyward Manpower collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data.
Last updated: September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains who we are, what personal data we collect about you, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. It applies to this website and to the recruitment, manpower, training and administrative support services provided by Skyward Manpower.
We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018. Where we place workers in the United Kingdom, the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 (UK) also apply.
1. Who we are
The controller responsible for your personal data is:
Skyward Manpower
Landscape House, Baldonnell Business Park, Dublin D22 P3 R7, Ireland
Phone (Ireland): +353 874 913 222
Phone (UK): +44 734 2208522
Other companies in the group, including Skyward UK, may act as controllers or joint controllers for specific placements. Where that is the case, we will tell you at the point your data is collected.
2. Data protection contact
For any question about this policy or to exercise your rights, write to frontoffice@skywardmanpower.com with the subject line "Data protection", or to the postal address above.
3. Personal data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of data:
Identification and contact data: name, surname, email address, telephone number, postal address, nationality, date of birth, company or organisation.
Professional data: CV, employment history, EASA Part-66 licence and category, type ratings, certificates of recognition, logbooks and experience records, training records, references and employer assessments.
Right-to-work and mobility data: passport or identity document, visa and work authorisation, tax and social security identifiers, airport or airside identification passes.
Placement and payroll data: contract terms, timesheets, rates, expenses, bank details and travel arrangements.
Enquiry data: the content of messages and requests you send us through our forms or by email.
Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type, device information and browsing activity, collected through cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookies Policy.
We only collect data that is necessary for the purposes described below. Mandatory fields are marked as such; not providing them may prevent us from assisting you or presenting you to a client.
4. Special category data and background checks
Aviation roles are subject to regulatory and security requirements. Where a role, a client or an aviation authority requires it, we may process:
Health data, limited to aeromedical certificates, fitness-to-work declarations and any adjustments you ask us to communicate.
Criminal record and background check data, where required for airside access, security clearance or aviation background verification.
We process this data only where we have a lawful basis to do so: your explicit consent, compliance with a legal obligation, or where processing is necessary in the field of employment law. We collect the minimum required, restrict access to authorised personnel, and do not retain it longer than the purpose requires.
5. Where we obtain your data
Most of the data we hold comes directly from you. We may also receive personal data from:
Referees and previous employers you have nominated.
Job boards, professional networks and public professional profiles where you have made your details available for recruitment purposes.
Clients and partner agencies, where you have been proposed for a role.
Training providers and aviation authorities, for the verification of licences and certificates.
Background check providers, where a check has been authorised.
Where we obtain your data from a source other than you, we will inform you within a reasonable period and, in any event, before we first contact you or share your data with a client.
6. Purposes and legal bases
We process your personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:
To respond to your enquiries and requests — our legitimate interest in attending to communications addressed to us.
To manage recruitment, selection and placement processes — the performance of a contract with you, or pre-contractual measures taken at your request.
To present your profile to clients — our legitimate interest in providing our recruitment service, and your consent where the client is outside the scope you agreed.
To administer contracts, payroll, travel and logistics — the performance of a contract.
To verify licences, qualifications and right to work — compliance with a legal obligation and the performance of a contract.
To meet aviation regulatory, tax, employment and audit obligations — compliance with a legal obligation.
To keep you on our talent database for future opportunities — your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
To improve our website and services — your consent for non-essential cookies, and our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure and functional site.
7. Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions that produce legal effects concerning you, or similarly significantly affect you, based solely on automated processing. Candidate selection always involves a review by a member of our team. We do not carry out profiling for advertising purposes.
8. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
Companies within the Skyward group, including Skyward UK, where necessary to deliver our services.
Clients — airlines, MROs and operators — for the purpose of placement, where you are a candidate. We tell you which client a profile is being sent to.
Service providers who process data on our behalf, such as IT, hosting, payroll, travel, communications and form-handling providers, under written data processing agreements.
Training providers and certification bodies, where you are enrolled on a course.
Public authorities, regulators and aviation authorities where required by law.
Professional advisers, insurers and auditors, where necessary and under a duty of confidentiality.
9. International transfers
Your data is primarily processed within the European Economic Area. We operate in the United Kingdom and West Africa, so a transfer outside the EEA may be necessary to deliver a placement.
For the United Kingdom we rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision. For any other destination without an adequacy decision, we put in place appropriate safeguards — normally the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, together with a transfer impact assessment. You may request a copy of the safeguards applied by writing to the address above.
10. Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to comply with our legal obligations:
Unsuccessful candidates: for the duration of the process and, thereafter, for up to two years on our talent database, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Placed contractors and employees: for the duration of the assignment and for the retention periods required by employment, tax and aviation record-keeping law.
Special category and background check data: only for as long as the verification remains valid, and deleted once its purpose has been fulfilled.
Enquiries that do not result in a relationship: up to one year.
Once no longer needed, data is securely deleted or anonymised.
11. Data security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. Access is restricted to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis, our website is served over an encrypted connection, and our providers are bound by confidentiality and security obligations. In the event of a personal data breach likely to result in a high risk to your rights, we will notify you and the competent supervisory authority as required by law.
12. Your rights
You have the right to:
Access your personal data and obtain a copy.
Request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Request erasure of your data, where the conditions for it are met.
Request restriction of, or object to, certain processing, including processing based on our legitimate interests.
Request the portability of the data you provided to us.
Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
You can exercise these rights free of charge by writing to frontoffice@skywardmanpower.com, indicating the right you wish to exercise. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will respond within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests, in which case we will tell you.
13. Complaints
If you consider that your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Irish supervisory authority:
Data Protection Commission, 6 Pembroke Row, Dublin 2, D02 X963, Ireland — www.dataprotection.ie
If you are in the United Kingdom, you may instead contact the Information Commissioner's Office — ico.org.uk. You may also complain to the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live or work. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
14. Cookies
This website uses cookies and similar technologies. For detailed information about which cookies we use and how to manage them, please see our Cookies Policy.
15. Minors
Our website and services are not directed at minors. We do not knowingly collect data from persons under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so that we can delete it.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services or in applicable law. The date at the top indicates the last revision. Where a change is significant, we will give you notice by a prominent notice on this website or, where we hold your contact details and the change affects you, by email.
